How To Find Trade Shows

Trade shows are a great way to get new business, reconnect with existing customers, launch new products and develop new business relationships.  Finding the right show for your company or organization can be a challenge.  Fortunately, there are some terrific resources out there to help.

Trade Show News Network offers a free search of trade show opportunities all over the world and allows you to sort by industry, country, state and show name.  It’s not just trade shows either; you can search for meetings, conferences and even state fairs.  They also offer industry news and trade show tips.  In our opinion, we thinks TSNN has the best information for finding shows to exhibit at or attend.

A couple of other sites offering similar information include BizTradeShows and Conventions.Net.

Industry associations are good sources to find industry related shows.

The Solar Energy Industries Association for example is involved with the Solar Power International show and other conferences.

Another way to find shows is to contact the places where major shows occur.  For example, in Houston, the George R. Brown Convention Center can provide a list of shows that will be happening in the upcoming months.  Other major cities such as Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago all have major event venues and would have lists to work from.  This can be hit or miss depending on if you are looking for a specific industry show or a general event.

Lastly, contact suppliers, colleagues or anyone else in your industry for ideas on industry shows.
