Description Of Drawn Aluminum
We use lightweight,
drawn aluminum for the frames. The difference in drawn tube and extruded
tube is the way the material arrives at its final shape. An extruded
product is pushed through a die. A drawn product is pulled thru a die to
obtain its final dimensions. The drawing process has a number of
advantages. Drawn tube has a higher temper. Material with a higher
temper is considerably stronger than an extruded product. The drawing
process provides exceptional dimensional control and a superior surface
finish that is not obtainable from the extrusion process. Drawing also
enhances the bending, flaring, and formability of the tube. The overall
quality of the drawn tube is superior to the extruded tube when running
