E TOPS
Tops for plywood models shall be constructed of " thick, AC grade,
exterior glue plywood, finished with a walnut stain and sealed with two
coats of clear lacquer. Edges shall be protected by an 18 gauge,
galvanized steel angle that is securely screwed to the underside of the
tops.
EF TOPS
High pressure laminate surfaced tops shall be constructed with " thick,
AC grade, exterior glue plywood cores and covered on the underside with
a phenolic backing sheet to prevent moisture penetration. Edges shall be
protected with 3/16" thick vinyl T molding, secured by using staples
driven through the underside of the tops at regular intervals. Table
tops shall be supported on all four sides with a 1-13/16" deep, 16 gauge
steel channel frame.
LEGS
Legs shall be made of 1-1/16" diameter, 14 gauge, tubular steel vertical
members with 16 gauge steel tube cross members. Legs and shelf uprights
shall be anchored to tops with 16 gauge steel saddle clips, secured with
four screws each.
CASTERS
Casters shall be 4" diameter, 1" wide, swivel type, with non-marking,
hard rubber wheels and locking brakes. Casters shall be mounted to
threaded inserts that are welded to the bottom of each leg.
LEG BRACES
Leg braces shall be riveted to each leg and to a 16 gauge steel pivot
bracket that is securely screwed to the table top. Braces shall be
constructed of 7/8" wide, 1/8" thick, edge radiused steel. Leg braces
shall be equipped with case-hardened steel, spring bolt locking
mechanisms that secure the legs when fully opened.
OPTIONAL LOWER SHELVES
Optional lower shelves shall be of heavy gauge wire, supported by a
steel channel frame around the perimeter. Shelves shall be epoxy coated
for long term durability and easy cleaning.
METAL FINISH
All metal parts shall be thoroughly cleaned and phosphatized to enhance
paint adhesion. Metal parts shall be finished with a thermofused epoxy
powdercoating.
WARRANTY
Mobile Utility Tables shall be covered by a 5 year warranty.
