TOP EDGE
OPTION 1: (Vinyl T molding edge) - Tops shall be
constructed of solid, " thick, AC grade, 7 ply, exterior glue plywood,
surfaced with high pressure plastic laminate and are to be backed with a
phenolic sheet to prevent moisture penetration. Tops are to be edged
with vinyl T molding having a thickness of at least 1/8". The T molding
shall be secured against removal by the use of staples at regular
intervals on the under side of the table top.
OPTION 2:
(PermaTuff edge) - Tops shall be constructed of solid, " thick, AC
grade, 7 ply exterior glue plywood, surfaced with high pressure plastic
laminate and are to be backed with a phenolic sheet to prevent moisture
penetration. Edges of tops shall be protected with a polyurethane epoxy
resin, chemically bonded to the edges of the plastic laminate, core
material and backing sheet.
TOP
SUPPORT FRAME
Table tops shall be supported by a formed steel channel frame at least
1-13/16" deep and of 16 gauge steel. The channel shall form a continuous
frame having square corners and welded joints. Frames shall be secured
to the table top with screws placed no greater than 10" apart.
LEG
ASSEMBLY
Legs shall be constructed of 1" diameter, 14 gauge, steel tubing. Two
tubes spaced 4" apart shall form the vertical load bearing members.
These tubes shall be joined at the top with a horizontal tube that
rotates within two 16 gauge steel saddle clips, secured with four screws
each. Horizontal base tubes which join the lower ends of the vertical
tubes shall be capped at the ends with high impact, plastic closures.
Legs shall rest on non-marking plastic glides. DS, DSR, DPT and DP
models shall have legs with centered vertical tubes, while CS and CP
models shall have legs with vertical tubes offset toward the back of the
horizontal tubes.
LEG BRACE

edge-radiused steel. Braces made of less than 11 gauge steel are not
acceptable. For safety, braces shall lock automatically and remain
locked when the table is in any position during folding and unfolding.
Braces shall be designed and constructed to resist wear from frequent
operation that could prevent the brace from locking the leg securely in
place. Spring actuated devices with case-hardened steel poppits are
preferred. The leg brace pivot bracket shall be secured to the table top
using a minimum of eight fasteners.
METAL
